San Jacinto Showdown

Deep in the heart of Texas, amidst the dense bayous, lies a story of courage, determination. The year was 1835 and the fate of a new nation hung precariously in the balance. On April 21st , General Sam Houston led his ragtag army of Texian soldiers against the formidable Mexican forces under the command of General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. The battle that ensued would become legendary, forever etching its name into the annals of American history: The Battle of San Jacinto.

The ground was rough, a tangle of tangled underbrush and muddy waters. Within these marshlands, Houston's forces, outnumbered but determined, laid a trap for the arrogant Santa Anna.

As the sun beat click here down upon the battlefield, a thunderous roar erupted as both armies clashed in a chaotic melee. Houston's forces fought with passion, overwhelming the Mexican army.

Santa Anna himself was captured, marking the end of the battle. The Battle of San Jacinto secured Texas’ independence and forever changed the course of American history.
